In all actuality though, Doom & Doom II.
They may be old, but damn are they still fun as hell.
You were seeking strength, justice, splendour.
You were seeking love.

FAQ - Path of Exile
At the moment, you will need a Graphics Card with Pixel Shader 3.0 or higher, and a CPU that supports SSE2. At least 2GB of RAM is recommended, and older Integrated Graphics Cards will not run well.

I've had the same laptop with a 1.0ghz processor and 2gb of ram for a long time, these games run fine.
Source Engine games run on pretty much anything, get HL.
Cross Fire
Maybe minecraft on low settings
Counter strike source
Runescape is always a good time waster to go back to on low end PCs. Endless hours of tasks (read: chores) to do if you want to keep busy.

First of all, post your "Craptop" specs, "Low End" does not specific your specs. So yeah, give us what processor you have, how much ram, what type of Graphic card
Once we have them, we can go from there.
My thoughts are:
Grand theft auto SA>older than SA.
Doom
Half Life.
Left 4 Dead 1 (Maybe 2)
Counter-Strike 1.6
Runescape (Maybe), since they changed graphic design a lot.
Older F1
Older NBA Live.
There is a lot games to list
