PS4 Pay to Play online?

I heard someone tell me that, MTV said Sony isn't gonna force people to buy Playstation Plus in order to play online, Not sure if this is true or not,but The only reason I bought a PS3 was to not have to pay to play online so im really hoping that they don't.

It's true, but the cost is only $10 less than Xbox live. The yearly rate is $50 to use PlayStation Plus which will allow you to play online. This was done so they can give you better services though.

I edited the post with updated information but I assume PS+ will still give you great freebies as they have been and it is more for the servers overall but the money will be used to get other things done as well

Also if you had PS+ for the PS3 you got lots of free stuff. Like paid demos, avatars, ETC

Plus it gives you a pretty good discounts for 80% of the stuff they have on the PS Store. Also I heard PS might support more arcade games and Indie stuff like how the XBOX does it, so maybe we might even get discounts/freebies for those!

I don't mind having to pay for PSN. It wont cost as much as xbox does and that glads me.
PSN in my eyes has a better community and better quality. Both in the console and whether it comes to gaming.

You should still be jealous because you get a free AAA title every month for EACH of your registered consoles. So if you have a PS3, PS4 and Vita you get three games every month.

The only thing that is cheaper is the 12 month sub.
xbox offers better deals and discounts like 5$ for 1 months
while sony will offer 18$ for 3 months
which is 6$ a month

Both consoles you have to pay for online service now and they are exactly the same.

And I don't pay for any of my games.
