You don't need a bunch of depth or subject matter to make good art. It matters little how to achieve this effect. If it looks good it looks good.

There's a dude that literally vomits water paint colors on a canvas, and calls it art... and it is art...

All I'm saying is, no one here has the real life credentials to determine what can or can not be considered art.

In all honesty, I feel as if C&C on a public forum basis only creates armies of cookie cutter graphic artists, all thinking within the same small box.

Oh no bro, I totally agree with that part. I mean the topaz shit. Abusing that filter really is no good and I'll tell you why.
Once you've seen about 5-10 topaz whored sigs, you've seen them all. When it's abused it just makes the entirety of the piece look like shit.
Sure it looks all shiny and what not, but those ugly ass alias lines all over the place, and how it kills texture depth makes me want to slap a nigga.
