I've got a Haswell and the adaptive power consumption tech is a pain the ass man, I also had to upgrade the BIOS of my MB straight away cause the Haswell chip was OCing its Turbo boost to high by default and caused me BSODs!

Well if this is a "are AMD or Intel CPUs more power efficient?" question then no doubt Intel wins. Their power draw and heat output is a lot less compared to AMD stock for stock. OC is a complete different story as there are a million different ways and combos for that.
