So I bought my S4 yesterday... pretty much as soon as I turned it on for the frist time the screen starts flickering then freezes and I had to do a force restart. That made it stop for a few hours then last night it started playing up like crazy... It would freeze then turn on and keep repeating that about 5 times. Eventually that stopped but I was left with a black screen and the top bar that shows the time, internet strength etc. I then managed to get into the settings a do a factory reset. Went to bed and woke up to the exact same problem as before...

GG, SAMSUNG!

Anyone had a similar issue with theirs?

It sounds like you just got a defective model, every one of my friends has either the S4 or the Note 2, no issues like that since the release of either. Bring it to your Cell Service Provider and show them, they will replace it for free.

Whats funny is that the first item of everything we buy at the store seems to be defective My dad bought a couple of LG monitors a few weeks ago and the first one he plugged in and turned on had a real glitchy screen....

You should of went and reported it back to the company you got it from as soon as it wasn't working properly the first time you turned it on...

Nope. It was a major sale that lasted a couple of hours in the afternoon. The lines were massive so I wasn't going to try get help with customer support with all the mad rush.

Its a major technology store so I doubt that I guess our family just has bad like when buying things there

Buy nokia phone, and Ipod. Best choice. You can listen to music/acress net/video/lots more , you just won't be able to call , so use your nokia to call. Or buy Nokia + android tablet. Thats how I did. Now I don't have to carry books in school, I use my pad , and use my nokia to call people.
