Where to start from

Okay, where would I start from to create a wallhack dll & load it up with "DirectX 9 testing environment", with out using the Starter-kit.
What would I have to hook up. Please enlighten me.
I know the basic of C++, Win32, & DirectX9.
I have created a dll trainer etc.
I been working with C++ for some years.
So don't come to me saying go & learn C++ first, because I'm no noob.

I know I have to hook the endscene up but I have no Idea where to start from.
I know how to hook a function, I know the basic of detours hooking.
