?Noob friendly way to make textures for guns BO1?

Question: How can I make gun textures for black ops 1 multiplayer servers, (I'm extremely noob at this, btw)

Hey i'm really new to the texture making and hacking thing, i've hacked and used textures in combat arms before but that game was much easier to mod/hack. I was hoping someone could guide me in the right direction in creating my own gun textures such as a Pink AK74u, Orange M16, etc. I know there is a guide to texture on the forums already but it seems quite old and I think there are easier solutions.
