Battlefield 3 won't be detected after OS update - Solved

Hi community

Since I updated to windows 8 like a few weeks ago I finally had some time for bf3, I copied my files from windows.old and put them in the right places and now when I go to battlelog it wont detect my game and sends me to origin where I have to completely re-install the game. After doing Thorough research I found out my registry files to make the game be detected are missing, How can I solve this problem since I can't download it again since I am on limited internet data and the game is well over 25gb and I also dont have the installation discs with me anymore

As i know, you must download the files/game using Origin not just C+P them.

Or you can ask someone what he has in his reg so you can edit your own, not recommended though.

The answer is what you wouldn't hear: download the entire game.

The answer is what you wouldn't hear: download the entire game.

So what I did was put the installation discs back in again and started setup and the installation took less than a minute since it was already installed and that "installation" only made the registry files so now im good and thanks guys
