Im just not sure if does work on WinXP.

Did you already installed C++ Redistributable 2010 x86 on your system ?
Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) from Official Microsoft Download Center

Try update your WinXP to latest version - Service Pack 3
Im not sure about this, but anyway try also install NetFrameWork 4.0
