All the hate on him makes me laugh, the scam may have been only $5 but there is no saying how many people he has done it to and what other amounts he has scammed from people.
As for the cops, they will get involved if theft of money or scamming of money is involved, I would know, I have talked to the cops after my paypal was hacked and had money stolen from it.
