Why do you watch anime?

Why do you watch anime? I know some of you say cause its entertaining, that is better than the other stuff, don't get me wrong it is but isn't there a deeper meaning to why you watch anime?

I personally watch anime cause its enjoyable to watch, that is entertaining and brightens my day up, but not just that, I watch it cause i want to learn more, learn about the possibilities that this world could have, Learn about the past, the present and the future. I take Anime as a entertainment but i also take it serious

So do you have a deeper meaning to watching anime?

When i was a young kid, I used to go play outdoors with friends but they all kept discussing about stupid cartoons. In order to take part in their discussion i started watching cartoons, it fascinated me and entertained me so much that i grew very much fond of it. As i grew up, my thirst for that type of entertainment grew, and in order to quench it, I started watching anime. Anime had a much more entertaining story line and it contained a great deal of soundtrack. At the beginning anime thought me many morals, and mostly the importance of certain common factors such as teamwork, friendship etc. But then time itself gave me in depth knowledge about these factors which caused a shift in my interest, I started watching much more serious type of anime which concentrated on genre's such as psychology, suspense, thriller etc. They were really amusing and enjoyable with their plot twists and their dramatic soundtracks. So, I guess it is safe to assume that i now watch anime just to relax every once in a while and entertain my thoughts upon reality that i wish to have existed.

some say fantasy, or an escape from reality. somehow these words are in my mind somehow so ill just go with it, loving something that doesnt exist.

I prefer them to any other kind of animations. Anime, has the best style in drawings IMO and that was the best aspect of it. Also the story, because when I was a kid, Pokemon and some other anime were the ones with the best story (I just got attached to it, and it became like an addiction).

The reason why I like anime eh? well I been watching anime since I was really young ever since few a animes got aired in the US basically anime is part of my life I prefer this over cartoons on TV basically like my cup of tea it also changed me as a person I can't imagine my self without watching anime I buy a lot of anime related stuff from ebay, I listen to all kinds of music because of anime and it's also entertaining to watch that's about it.
