Connecting USB keyboard and USB Mouse to PS3 to play Minecraft?

So I got Minecraft from my friend on the PS3 and I saw one of the flashing texts saying "keyboard friendly" or something like that, I was wondering if anyone knows how to connect my USB K&M to my ps3 and play minecraft with it. I have already tried just putting it in and it does not work. I also can't find anything on google about it. Any help will be appreciated. (I play minecraft on PC as well)

well first of all mate your not connecting your regular pc keyboard are you? theres a keyboard for ps3 that you have to buy other that regular keyboards aren't supported with the ps3

I use a regular pc keyboard all the time. I have a keyboard that came from a Dell and has two USB ports on the back and use them to charges controller. I have another that came from a HP. However in minecraft you can only use a keyboard to type on signs. On PSN I use it to type messages and on youtube. There is NO SPECIAL KEYBOARD REQUIRED

Dude I literaly use a keyboard every time i use youtube, Netflix, and the Internet. I have never jail broken my ps3 nor do i want to. NO HACK REQUIRED
