Banned for "Ban Evasion"

I was previously "joeystar", and the only forum I was active on was Minecraft. And here's the story, I've posted a reply with an outside link in it (I wasn't thinking much at the time.), and a few hours later, I received an infraction for having an outside link. And I thought that was all, then the next day, I've logged in only to find out that I was banned for "Ban Evasion" (Date the ban will be lifted: Never). Now, I'm not requesting for ban lift or anything (but that doesn't necessarily I don't want one.), I just want clarification on this ban (as in 'Ban Evasion'), what is the situation on this 'ban'? I've never done any trades, so I couldn't possibly be a scammer.

PS: Also, I had my VPN enabled at the time (It auto-enabled.), could that possibly be the cause?

If your VPN is connected to accounts that have been permanently banned, then that could be the reason.

You have several IPs that match up with other accounts, some of which are banned.

@Hero can probably respond better as to the ban reason.

What Liz said, and also I was looking earlier at the accounts and they post in the MC section too... And so do you.

But the IPs are definitely from a proxy, and there are only a few IPs that match out of about 20...
