To all the people saying the kids should be beat, what the hell do you think that'll accomplish? Most of these kids are already beat, and in a lot of cases doing so is actually the root of the defiant behavior. All it does is teach kids that violence is an acceptable solution to your issues, creates a lot of unresolved anger, and brands an anti-authoritarian mindset. Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty damn harsh when it comes to people, but this is one issue I'm rather steadfast on. Beating your kids as punishment is wrong under any circumstances, and simply can't be justified
