Battlefield 4 Grip Question

In Bf4 there is different grips but some of them do the same thing like: Potato/Stubby Grip and Ergo/Vertical Grip.

Does for example Potato and Stubby do the same thing? And if they do, Why even have 2 of the same on but with different looks and names?

angled grip/folding grip makes your first shot more accurate, stubby grip/potato improves your accuracy while shooting full auto, vertical grip/ergo grip improves accuracy while running/moving as well as hip shots

Thanks alot! But why is it 2 grips for every different improvment? Why not just have 3 grips in total instead for 6?
