Due to the many people confused about scripting, I have put together a little FAQ so you don't need to reply with these common questions.

FAQ

Q. What is a script and what does it do?
A. Scripts are a language that the ArmA/DayZ engine use to create dynamic and custom content within their game. The scripts you find around here (most of them) exploit this feature in order to use the clients engine to give yourself or others an advantage ingame.

Q. What can I do with scripts
A. There are not many limits to scripts, if the engine supports it; it can be done. Some examples of commonly used scripts are godmode, teleportation, ESP(wallhack), etc.

Q. How do I use scripts?
A. The easiest and most common way to use them is to buy a script injector, these can be found all over the web however you will have to find them yourselves. The second way would be to host your own server and create a mod that allows you to load custom scripts. The process of using the script with the injector differs between each, if you are struggling you should look up a guide for your specific injector or ask the developer.

Q. Will I get banned for using scripts?
A. There isn't a good answer to this question. This highly depends on the script injector you use, some will get detected more frequently than others. So far, there have been no incidents in my personal experience where a certain script caused a BE Ban/VAC Ban. I can not say this will not occur in the future, but it its not likely due to the many possible exploits such as remote scripting and server mods.

Q. I was kicked by BE for a script restriction, am I going to be banned?
A. Most likely not, unless of course your injector is detected. Though these kicks are logged, they are generally not used for bans.However, this does not prevent a server owner from banning you from their server/hive.

Q. I was banned, how do I unban myself?
A. For ArmA2OA you will need to buy a new serial key and change it. For DayZ SA, you will need to create a new steam account and repurchase the game. I highly recommend changing your IP when you change keys, as some servers ban your IP as well.
