GTX 780 or AMD R9 290?

I just saw on aria that the GTX 780 Is about the same price as the AMD R9 290

Which should i get?
Gonna be using for gaming mostly and usual school work

thats the thing,if you make videos that id go for nvideas shadowplay,but the r9 290 is faster,lets say in bf4 it is way faster,what games do you play? do you record much? and i am waiting for mantle right now,it should come in a couple of days..lets see! and all the consoles use AMD so games will run better on AMD ,keep that in mind.

I've asked the question on many sites now and literally everyone has said the GTX 780 so im just gonna go with that

Definitely the Gtx 780 .

They are both very close, few FPS on side of each other.
TrueAudio, Mantle and other stuff are reasons why I'd get the 290.
Plus, the cheapest 290 TRI-X is around 90-100$ cheaper then the 780(and is way more OC-able)..(I'm talking about prices here)

i'll say nvidia geforce gtx 780 but i mostly like gtx 770
