When will Gun Gale Online be Aired?

Is anybody excited for this? In my opinion, I think this show will become less exciting then SAO.
What do you guys think?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure GGO is just a game.
Unless it was officially announced, not speculated by the SAO fanbase then there shouldn't be any reason to look forward to it.
But, adding onto the discussion I'd lower my expectations considering how the 2nd arc of SAO went.

Edit: Holyshit, see, originally I heard of GGO somewhere in like april last year from past google searched eventually believed its just a game but after some light googling right now they officially confirmed it in their special episode released in december 2013. Thats pretty damn cool LOL.

I'm gonna lower my expectations and hope I get blown away, I'm sure I'm not the only person who thought their 2nd arc was so bad. Assuming the same people work on GGO, the company has some pretty good titles that have been released under em. Lets hope they bring their game for GGO :OO.

I think everyone in this section besides Scot disliked the anime, and GGO looks pretty bad. GGO is supposed to air sometime 2014, I'm guessing it'll probably come out Spring/Summer season so just wait a couple more months for it.

What? GGO was a light novel. And the second season was announced Dec. 31st saying it'd come out sometime in 2014.

Sword Art Online is based on a series of (shortish) novels, GGO takes place in the 5th volume I believe. I really did like SAO, until the 2nd story arc, Alfheim, took stupid to a whole new level. Stayed for the reunification of the couple and then I realized: What the hell happens after they beat the game? (To Asuna and Kirito). Guess the last few minutes answered my questions. I'm excited for GGO, hopefully it releases sometime Spring or (possibly summer) so I can finish the novel(s) before they air the show.

Rumors have it that its going to air on April. They've confirmed they will be working on GGO, but I'm not sure if the April release date is indeed valid/real.

There's only 2 things about the second season I didn't like.

1. The incest factor, was a little weird, but oh well.

and

2. Him saving Asuna, the whole "rescue the princess" plot. It made for some cooling ending sequences (both in Alfiem and in real life) for Kirito, but it kind of ruined Asuna's character. The point was that she was this bad ass chick that could also kick ass, and then they made her a hostage.

I still love SAO as a whole though, Asuna x Kirito is so Kawaii, and I found the action was pretty awesome. It did Shonen well IMO, but eh.

SAO was great for the first season, but the second was alright.
I like the SAO series and can't wait till Gun Gale, just hope its a lot better than the second one.
The only issue is that Asuna isn't in the third really much.

But they turn Kirito into a girl for the sake of fanservice.
