A sad Song Lyrics about Soldiers: The Fallen

Started this one a couple of weeks ago but I've just finished it yesterday. You can't really say it's a poem 'cuz I have the music ready for it. Let me know what you think, that is if you even care.

Red = Chorus
(Blue) = Explanation

This (+song) for our brothers, fallen in blood
And the shadows (=enemies) slain, in their way so
We can see the light of day, this shadow (=enemy) now
Lurks in our way; clouds our day (tries to defeat us)
Though this pain (pain of losing our loved ones) is, burning (makes us regret martyrs leaving us), all of it away

This for our fathers, laid to rest
To those who passed, this eternal test (were good people)
Memories, be embraced (held dear)
A trail of blood (history), left to contest (be against those who deny); to be blessed (make martyrs divine)
Though these tears are washing, all of it, the best (grief makes us forget why they died)

We; stood right here
Had no fear; when they (=enemy) came
We were near
Rise; from the ashes
To the skies, to reprise

This for our children, taken by force
We hunt, the enemy, down to its source (=leader)
Redemption, lies right here
Though our end is, drawing near (we're not coming back)
We'll disappear (=die)
For our blood (=memories), will remain, through, all of these years

We; are the fallen
Our lives stolen, how we fought
Lesson taught (learn courage from us)
Passion (staying calm in war); clarity (seeing the enemy closing in)
Wings of; insanity

This for our soldiers, who died in war
For (=because of) a greed taken, so far (=very), too far
They died so, we could live
Is it too much for us, to believe? (believe in their cause)
And they can never leave (they're always alive in our memories)
For our hearts, will keep the damned (hate for enemies), and the deceived (love for martyrs)

This for our mothers, who gave us life (=birth)
For our (ourselves and our families) freedom, will we strive
They (our families) were there, to give us hope
(+we) Gave our final words, sealed, in an envelope (~refers to the last letter of a martyr)
Too much pain to cope
with, but never break, keep climbing this, endless rope (struggle for freedom)

I try not to be biased when judging peoples things, I just don't like it is all.
