Not really. If they continued it, it would be 10+ years since it originally aired with a rather small fanbase that isn't really "dedicated".

No, it's a cartoon. It did get a live adaptation movie but it was so fucking horrible that my eyes burned. It's my favorite cartoon by far, you should watch it. The character designs look a lot like anime so I can see how some can be confused.
