I was going to say there will be problems. Not to take away from what the OP has done but I'm almost certain they've implimented (was trying to think of the name but can't.) Either way you probably deleted the program. Just download it again, check No or Off to all the proxies, then delete it again. You'll now have your proper Google page and CA functionality again. ie. no more IE errors upon startup of CA.

Oh and yes proxy servers are legal. Simply unplugging your modem changes your IP. It's up to the site owners to allow access to their site or not based on the usage of a proxy. US laws still apply meaning one can not look up pedo porn simply because they have a proxy. Also, most proxies these included, leave footprints that let others know a proxy is being used.

I can definitely tell you that they come with a price. No one in their right mind hosts an excellent proxy for free. The ones we commonly have available to us have severe downtime, slow speeds, limited availablity, and barely mask our information. You've got to either go into the deep web/deepnet/dark web or whatever you want to call it and probe around. It's just not available right now.

The "double post" as you call it .. both posts contain completely different information. There are FULL ANON proxies. Telling me I don't know about proxies is like telling Mario or Luigi they're not Italian. That's one thing I know far too much about.
