How to change a router IP

Ok before you go to sleep go to your router and unplug EVERYTHING, then unplug your modem too, (NOTE IT DOSNT TAKE THIS LONG TO DO IT, BUT IF IT DONT WORK WITH SHORTER TIME, DO IT THIS WAY) go to sleep. Then in the morning replug everything and hopefully your IP changed.

I think this is wrong. doesnt it only take like 15 minutes for it to work? not all night.

Depends, however the average time for a router reset is normally about 15minutes.

Actually, we already knew this. The amount of time to change the IP for a dinamic IP internet is 15 minutes. If it doesnt change its probably because u have got static IP. I hope i have helped someone.

You have no right to call someone an idiot just from one mistake. Every router is different and each one has a different reset-time and such. Mine takes an hour. It depends on your ISP too.

BTW accordingly to some users that IP-banning you speak of is just a myth. Wich I believe it's true because I have been banned 4 times in maplestory and 2 on Combat arms. Never had to change IP
