    Need serious help!!

My laptop was running well without any issues at all. Until one I went on a website. I download alot of things there, but the site, belonging to Arabs, had alot of ads that you had to go (And no I don't have ADBlock). When I first downloaded the thing, it seemed fine (downloaded it from ***** if anyone knows it). After downloading like a bunch later (3~4 videos) my computer started getting fucked up and google chrome somehow removed all the add-ons I had. I later on deleted all the contents that I downloaded (the ones I could find). Then someone on skype (Someone here on MPGH) somehow tried to DDos me. Then asked me to download something so he can see if he succeeded. Ofcourse I didn't, removed him, then blocked him. Anyway, the laptop started getting really fucked up. Sometimes the cursor freezes on google chrome (and troubles I faced were mostly on google chrome). I downloaded Malwarebytes, Bit Defender, and Spy Hunter (all are full version) still same problems. Now ever my whole computer freezes at times. Scanned with Spy hunter alot of times. Gives me suspicious files. However, when I click Fix Threats, it doesn't. So anyone got a solution to this?

    TL;DR Version:
    Problems:
    1. Mouse Pad freezes sometimes (yet works with normal mouse at sometimes) ((So far I think it's with google chrome only)).
    2. Google Chrome takes way too longer than it used to to load websites.
    3. Computer is alot slower.
    4. Computer takes a whole lot to restart.
Well, as far as I can do, any useful reply will get thanked and repped. Thanks.

    Hey.

A few things you could try. I'm not a computer expert nor do I know much about DDos'ing so these things may not work.

    • Restart your laptop/computer. Normally computers run slowly because the RAM is holding too much data. Restarting will remove any temporary memory from the RAM.
    • Open Task Manager and look for any processes that are not needed or are suspicious and end them. Additionally, look in the Details/Services tab and see if there is anything that should not be running or is using too a lot of resources and end them unless they are essential.
    • Try running CCleaner. It may remove things associated with the problem from the hard drive.
    • If you have one, replace the hard drive with another one. If the computer is still slow with this hard drive, the problem lies in another component of the computer.

Let me know how it goes. Good luck.

He just said it would take alot to restart, so of course he has restarted it a few times.

He most likely opened up task manager too. That would actually be my first thought to do.

I'd suggest visiting a security forum to receive assistance with malware removal, unless you're paranoid like myself then you can simply reformat (This is assuming you do regular backups, or use a service like *******)

If he's already been through several anti-malware applications, I doubt ccleaner is going to do any good

The best thing to do is simply reformat your entire hard drive and pirate a copy of Windows 7.

    https://www.pcworld.com/article/24899..._disc(dot)html

That has the link to download whatever version of Windows 7 you wish. Do you want instructions on how to crack Windows 7 so you won't have the pesky authentication popups?

He might not even have to pirate anything, his computer could be a pre built in which case it would have a recovery partition, or recovery CD-ROMs.

I would suggest before you reformat check the task manager. Look for high CPU or Ram usage. A high CPU usage at almost all times could be a trojan, or even a rat xD Depending on how it runs. High ram could be a number of things. I know my computer started lagging like that after I went to a website of questionable integrity... Turns out it wasnt the website but a recent update from microsoft caused a glitch with my computers programs and had a service use a high ammount of CPU... I stopped the program that was causing it and ended up getting another update and it patched it. If all else fails try a reformat. If you computer was one you bought from a store then you should have a recovery cd or partition. Reformat should clear up all problems and if that doesnt then it might be your motherboard. I have a computer sitting in my shop that took 20 minutes to start up every time. It happened to be that the motherboard was going out so data connections slowed to a trickle. Other than that I can not really tell you much based on the information. I suggest if you find out that it is a malicious program to get CCcleaner and Kapersky for an antivuris. Download Rkill. Use that to stop the malicious software and then run kapersky. Then once kapersky has removed the malcious software re run the virus scan on it then if that comes up clean run CCcleaner. Hope this helps.

Qualifications: I run my own computer shop.
