saddest anime?

i guess no one gives a crap about angel beat XD. I gave up half way past it. Also firefly is that movie where in ww2 europe was bombed and 2 children were sent far away right? i dont even consider that an anime it was based of a true story or was inspired from a true story if i member correctly.

Well angel beats wasn't exactly "sad" for me until the end. Even then you could see it coming from a mile away.

Think if the premise wasn't that they were already dead, it would have been a lot better.

I really liked Grave of fireflies and i'm not gonna lie, some parts of Code Geass R1&R2 were sad, the whole anime doesn't revolve around sadness, for me it kept my interest with the action and such, but I liked how it also had some sad parts.

Yesh clannad was saddest but 30 centimeters per second only had 1 or 2 episodes from crunchyroll ._. i was wondering if there were more episodes Q.Q so sad

episodes? thought it was a movie lol. There is a manga but the movie was a one shot. Clan wasnt as sad as 30 seconds to me 30 seconds almost made me doubt life lol. It one of the movies that just says your dreams might not come true and that you should just give up

I really should get some sleep because I'm typing like a dumbass. For some reason I mistook Shirley's death in Code Geass for Orihime's death in Bleach. Though they're kinda similar I guess. But uhh... I was spoiled about that a while back and I didn't really care. I saw the scene and didn't really get feelsy either, she's pretty annoying from where I left off at bleach (right after Soul Society arc) so I'm actually glad... maybe she develops into a better character or something later on...

lol not even shirleys death was sad for me. The entire anime wasnt sad or can even be considered sad. The only sad part i can think of is that suzaku is stuck in that outfit for the rest of his life. That is a sad life right there <

I was talking about Shirley's death but using Orihime.

Mainly because those two are the same character almost.

Orihime is annoying, but luckily her part in bleach is pretty minor. Damsel in distress for 1/5 of the show aint too big of a deal, especially given how she actually relates to the story quite well.
