I have come to the quick and more than likely stupid decision to sell the Alienware for 1,300 dollars on ebay (going price) and +200 dollars from the budget to make my laptop into a desktop. So 1,500 dollars for a gaming desktop.

OK let me start from the begining

I want to change it to a desktop when im at home (keep it in tact inside the house without taking it apart so it can be taken out of the case when I need to travel) So im not taking it apart because I want to be able to use it as a desktop and a laptop.
It literally is like buying a brand new laptop taking it out of the box. And shoving it into a case without taking it apart at all.

Dude, that's even worse, if you are at home why not use the laptop as it is? Because putting it on a Tower case wont boost it's performance, its only waste of money. At least get a proper tower. Because the sense it makes puting a laptop inside a tower and taking it out when going out is just 0 and the amount of work
it takes is high.

Here's how to do it.

1. Sell your laptop.
2. Buy a cheaper laptop just go be mobile with it and use it for projects etc. NOT GAMING.
3. build your own pc because PC'S ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FOR GAMING NOT SHITTY LAPTOPS
4.Profit? decent mobile laptop and a great pc that will run most games at a decent 60 fps.

I'd sell the laptop and just buy a better laptop (That happens with alienwares) and a keyboard, mouse and a screen all of which I'd attach to the laptop when ever I wanna do shet behind a PC.
