trying to figure out downloading MC mods for my 6 year old son and need help please.

If you want a more recent version you should install mc on a computer/laptop.

I highly recommend you download MC on a PC. PC is much more versatile in the modding world.

I'd love to help but for what I know there are only few mods for minecraft PE I suggest downloading the PC version because there is a large variety of mods. Although minecraft for PC isn't free... Though you can download a cracked version for it which is the free one, but if you are willing to buy the full game go to minecraft.net there you can purchase the game.
