So is the ***** hack a virus?????

This is sort of a debate/clarification thread. Today(1 day after downloading it) my internet explorer doesn't let me on any site, it says "access denied" on every site.
There have been rumors of it being a virus, but Liz had said that Dave checked it and it was clean. Other people(some of the best hackers on MPGH) beg to differ, they claimed it was a virus and is way too big for that kind of hack.

What the heck is it?? Please no random spam, just debate/help.

yes, i disagree with dave although the actual file does not contain a virus i think that when you run MPH.exe it acesses the internet in the backround and downloads malware on your pc. So altho the actual file is clean its actions are not

Umm no, i had a virus like this once it took down my internet acess and made my PC really slow. I ran a system restore but you can do what you like. Geek squad can probably get ur IE up witout restoring ur PC but thats your choice

No, its not a keylogger or a virus.

Unpacking shows that it is safe and has not had a problem to it. Its been coded by gordon and its fine

Ya, i think it accesses the internet in the background while you are working. It might be downloading malware but apparently its "clean" according to Liz, and Dave

you do know the hack carries advertisements right, one to a hack site the other to a weed selling site, and if it wanted to download trojans into ur PC it doesnt need a browser, just an "always on" connection. so the two IE theory you two have, sink.
