Talking Gaming PC Build for £700

    Sup.

So I sold my previous Gaming PC Build for under £650 to a friend because I wanted to upgrade. I also made about £50 profit.

But this means that I'll have to build another one. I've kept a few of the components the same because they worked really well in my last build. I'm also on a budget of around £700 or $1200.

    Here goes.

    • Fractal Design Define R4 PC Case - Black/Pearl
    • Corsair 600W Builder Series CX 80+ Bronze ATX Power Supply
    • AsRock Z77 Extreme4 Motherboard
    • Intel Core i5 3570K Quad Core IvyBridge Processor
    • Western Digital Caviar 1TB Green SATA III
    • Asus Radeon R9 270X DirectCU II TOP AMD Graphics Card - 2GB
    • Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 2133 MHz
    • Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5 inch Basic SATA Solid State Drive
    • NZXT Respire T20 CPU Cooler
    • Asus PCE-N15 - 300Mbps Wireless N PCI-E adapter

Let me know if these components sound okay or whether I should change anything pluz!

    ok,want more performance?

replace the 2133MHz RAM,it useless to anyone. the applications that can use the extra MHz are very rare and still dont give a big performance boost.
    go amd!
    for MOBO get a Asus M5A97 R2.0
for CPU Get a 8350/8320 whatever fits your budget (8350 is better)
for GPU try ramping it up to a 280x,the extra performace will be very visible
for HDD get a caviar blue/black whatever is the cheapest. id never pay more money for a "better" HDD

    other than that,looks nice

tell me how much it will cost now, since i dont live in the UK i dunno

At his price range and for his budget, there isn't much with going for an AMD chip, considering in most cases the 3570K will out perform it by a smidgen, plus it overclocks better. Also he's using a Caviar Green HDD which is one of the cheapest...

I agree with ditching the RAM though.

Also easier to upgrade with an Intel sided system, as the 8000 series are pretty much the ceiling for AMD.

Thought about going down the AMD route but decided against it.
