[Question]Render or Stocks?

I've been told this several times on other forums, and I just want your take on it. Is it true that, if you start using stocks, you can never change back? I've been using renders for the past couple sigs, but I'm edging over towards stocks, as they are more HQ and they are more plentiful.

It depends on what your doing. Generally renders are a shortcut if you want to blend two images together of produce certain effects. For that reason they are used a lot for sigs. If i was doing a larger piece i tend to verge over to stocks and if need be render them myself.
