I hope somebody knows how to do this
I need some help.
I record with fraps. And I realised that the file sizes are super big!
I got 20 videos of me playing Left 4 Dead 2 (All recorded with Fraps)
Is there anyway to compromise the videos and still have 1080p?!
These videos are 721 GBS!?!?! Thats not normal! is there any way to make the files extremly smaller but still 1080p?
I compromised my videos in Camtasia Studio 8 And that made my video about 500 mb. So I uploaded it, and got a youtube video downloader software. And tried to download the video in full HD, and realised that the video I downloaded was only 283 MB . So here is my question?! What program does youtube use to make the videos smaller?!
Please help!
Btw my Channel is https://www.youtube.com/user/CsnanoGaming/ if anyone would check by them selves.
TYVM TO ALL WHO TRIES TO HELP ME!

Fraps records in .avi and is pretty much lossless, so yes the original videos are going to be incredibly large, and yes you can make the videos smaller, but still retain HD quality. An easy way to be to simply use Windows Movie Maker. Load your .avi file in, and then promptly save the movie, but choose the 'Custom' Setting at the very bottom of all the quality pre-sets. Set the resolution to 1920x1080, the FPS to 30 , asYoutube only displays 30, so anything higher will just increase size. This is also the reason the file you got back was smaller, because the framerate had been capped. And finally, change the bitrate to something manageable for gameplay like 15000 kbps.
1920
1080
30 FPS
15000 kbps
The settings I normally use^

You were seeking strength, justice, splendour.
You were seeking love.
Here is the pit, here is your pit.

Tyvm for the quick response. Tyvm for your nice and describefull answer. I will try it as soon as I am able to.
@Aborted
I suggest downloading Dxtory and using that instead of Fraps, just pirate that shit.

Don't use Camtasia from now on... always records huge files.
If you still want to use those recordings I would also do what Aborted said.

Use Fraps to record the video in lossless quality. Edit the video in a professional program such as Adobe Premiere and have it compress it once you're done editing. The final product will look much better than compressing it from the beginning.
