Question sniping in ava and dpi settings / pull rate? what do you use?

was just wondering how high or low you guys have your mouse or in game settings when playing sniper class in ava just wanted to experiment with different settings and would like a little feedback also just in case i get asked i have a razor deathadder 3.5g also my reason for dong this is because i have not yet found a sweet spot with my settings it always feel to weak of a pull or to strong and in sniping that little bit of over or under pull will make you miss your target on a drag shot which happens to me a lot so this is my reason for this thread

Grammer Nazi in me is going crazy... must... not......

    Back to the question.

It sort of has to do with your mentality and comforts. Sniping definitely requires precision of your mouse movements especially if you drag shoot. A very high dpi or sensitivity will sacrifice mouse precision for mouse speed, and vice versa. Setting will only take you as far as it can. The rest is always practice/repetition.

Also disable mouse pointer precision/mouth smoothing/mouse acceleration. When you move your mouse X amount of centimeters, you should be turning Y amount of degrees. Enabling those things will make your play inconsistent. (Move X centimeters => Y + some speed factor, etc.) Disable pointer precision in Windows mouse settings, and mouse smoothing in game options.

for sniper I use double dpi that I use when playing rifle. With rifle am on 400 dpi and with sniper am on 800 dpi. With a good mouse(that allows diffrent dpi profiles) you can switch between dpi settings easy, so this makes life easier in game.

Also, sniper is all about positioning and playing angles. You wanna play small angles so you dont have to pull some crazy bs drag shots. Check out ESL matches and Bl1ndGuns youtube channel to see how snipers position themselves to get "easy" shots.

Get into AI demolition kill bunch of bots and after couple of games you ll find your sweet spot for settings and your drag shots will be better.

Lol I feel 8 is pretty decent for a neat drag shot. 98% times hit the target on dragshot xD... For other guns i use 13 (how do you use 35 ?!? LOL)

I use 1500 DPI / 8 ingame sens. Feels pretty accurate at long/short range and drags

One thing I sort of forgot to say is that it is not advisable to set really high DPIs (like 2500, 4000, 8000, etc).

At least what I heard, there is more error in your movements when you have a higher DPI. It did feel different when I tried 1 sensitivity at 4200 DPI (theoretically equivalent to 400 DPI at 10.50 sen, which is what I use).
