"Fog of war" is what, you're referring to, is typically called.
Oh. Server sided? I see. Thanks for the info.
And ah, thanks, Fog of war. lol couldn't get my head to remeber that.
I think it's the router you have, my friend has a modified router he requested and he doesn't even see the black tiles even with fullscreen (Nilly's client ), for me my internet router is slow and i see black tiles even in a server where i have 20 ping
^Well I think that you have to walk around an area to load it initially, there's usually a black circle around you, as you can see on the map. Even if it was possible to increase the size of the circle, it wouldnt help much, as the enemies and objects only load from so far away..
Ohh... that makes a bit more sense. Lol, i'd love to get my hands on that router. I dont like the Fog of war.
Agreed, that enemies are seen only within a certain distance. But there's other reasons why i'd love to have no fog of war.
This thread is full of bullshit, just saying

Wtf? Routers?? That makes no sense at all. Bro you gotta learn how to see between the bullshit that is posted on mpgh.
The server sends a specific amount of map information to the client based on the server's perceived location of the player. Someone claiming to see parts of the map that they have not previously journeyed near is, as CrazyJani says, full of bullshit.

New to mpgh. Don't know the right and wrongs. But, i'll take your word and take each word not to heart, and be cautious about it next time, Thanks for the heads up.
