So I downloaded the leaked PC version of Watch_Dogs...

I think we all saw this coming, the game has been downgraded from what we've been seeing in trailers and promotional art. The graphics are on par with games like Assassins Creed 3 only with really crappy textures and not so good lighting, not very next-gen feeling. The game also doesn't have the same "flow" that we saw in the E3 2012 demo, it's lost it's flair. The biggest hit for me is the graphics, it looks no-where near as good as it did in the E3 demo or in trailers. Has anyone else downloaded the leak and if so what do you think of it?

Next-gen doesn't have shit right now. It's safe to just pretend the next-gen hasn't started for a few years until these new consoles and developers hit their stride. As long as developers make games for last-gen consoles, games will still look horrible.

To be fair, what I written above isn't my full view so let me amend my 'review' here. The game is good by all standards, the gameplay is good, the graphics are... decent and from what I've played in the story it seems to be a well written story but it's just not what I was hoping it would be.

Both the XBone and the PS4 were outdated before they were even released, and devs will never hit their stride working with crap hardware. It's trying polish a pile of shit, it's not going to accomplish anything, and the Graphics will stagnate for years to come. Hell, devs are barely hitting 30 FPS (A god-awful framerate) at fucking 900p and 720p. Welcome to 2005.

Well on the bright side, at least this generation is using PC-esque hardware, so we might see an emulator sooner than the PS3 or 360's backwards architecture is allowing.
