Originally I was pro government healthcare... But now, I'm more and more against it.

1) I'm perfectly healthy
2) It's anti-capitalist
3) I have to pay for something, and I receive no benefit (and probably won't ever need it).
4) I have to pay for fat people who can't keep their fucking mouth shut
5) I have to pay for people who chose to smoke

(The last three depends on the health care bill that might get passed)

What the fuck ever happened to personal responsibility? If someone decides to fucking eat 10 cows, good for them, I'm not going to pay for your shit when you are on the fucking hospital bed.

well in england we already have free national health care.

I'm getting the impression that you don't necessarily have a problem with socialized healthcare but a problem with American culture, which is understandable, when you grow up in a society with a mentality of consumption as apposed to moderation and concern for ones community, you're gonna have trouble.

I think Nationwide Health care at LOWER cost, would be much better, sort of a compromise b/w what Canada and England have and what we have, where the government is not solely responsible, but contains the prices to a national average, Right now I'm paying over $115 dollars a month for my health care, something (Thank God) I have used few times. But the costs for simple things are getting ridiculously pricey, Congress needs to step in and say enough is enough. Capitalism works, to a point. I just fail to see why people in the Hill cannot compromise, put the political BS aside, and do what you're being payed to do, help the nation.
