Is ebay a good place to buy computer components?

I found a really good deal on a couple of 405$ 780 Tis and a 4790k. Even with 100% Reviews on the guy, should I be worried? Yes I am paying with paypal, so in case anything happens, I can talk to paypal about it.

But really it's all about first time trust. I'd rather get the working GPU without any problems. Are ebay sellers good about that?

As Doc said, use someone that has a star next to their name and have a high reputation, it's unlikely that you'll be scammed by someone on eBay nowadays but it's still a possibility. Just make sure that you buy from a small time store or a known Computer Parts company.

You bought a hoe off ebay? Does it work well?

Definitely not. Get your stuff off Amazon, Newegg or TigerDirect. Those are the best places to get parts for a computer and most will usually work. Plus, (I can't vouch for TigerDirect as I haven't contacted their support before), but Amazon and Newegg have amazing after service where if a part is defective, they will replace it immediately.

Newegg will be more expensive. He's saying eBay because of the deal he has. I think he'd be okay if the seller has 100% rep and many sales, ONLY if the situation is like that, otherwise I wouldn't trust it.

Exactly, I would buy from Amazon, newegg, etc. If the shit there wasn't so expensive.

I could always go to craigslist and bring someone for protection (lol)

I use ebay a lot. It's getting more and more expensive to buy from ebay. If you do buy parts from ebay its not that much more expensive. First place I go is ebay and I always buy from power sellers. Have a look at their feedback.

Ebay is perfectly fine, I've bought multiple components for a much cheaper price then other computer part sites.

TigerDirect fucking sucks. Took them a month to shit my parts to me. Then I'm starting to put everything together and notice I didn't get my motherboard. Little did I know my board was on back order and they failed to mention it to me.
