Vista is o.k i guess. I heard from other people that windows 7 is fairly faster then others. And they are completely different.

Well, Windows 7 is really the best upgrade from XP, Vista while it was a great improvements in looks, failed horribly in resource usage and demands. You needed to upgrade your pc JUST to run vista, Windows 7 on the other hand, is said to better use these resources, but Microsoft still recommends having at least a 2gb Ram. From people who have it, they say windows 7 provides both looks and performance, and is def a thumbs up, some, like myself, will wait till programs are more adaptable with the OS before upgrading.

I tried putting vista onto my 5 year old xp computer, it failed miserably.
i put Win7 Ultimate on it, works a little bit faster than XP ran on it.

I have had absolutely no compatibility issues with windows7, where i have with vista.
windows 7 is also the best for running hacks, since it has about 12 different compatibility mode options.
the GUI is overall better. the big icons and the whole new taskbar style is great.
aero peak is awesome...

its just overall great.
