Hey guys

I'm looking to build a new PC.

I do not really tend to go ultra fancy and playing games like Crysis 3 BattleField 4 etc. on 1080p with ultra settings, but if i would be able to play some games i can't really play now(Battlefield 3, Farcry 3 in 1080p with decent settings at a stable 60fps i would be more then happy, same goes with the current big titles, full resolution at atleast decent settings at 60 FPS throughout.

As for budget im aiming at 300-400 ish

300-400 is hella tight....in that region consoles still give more bang,no shit...its simply isnt the sweetspot

at 600-700 we are talking sweetspot with good components and a great experience

at 300-400 every 10 dollars you get about 20 more fps in games,its rediclous.

at 800+ maybe 1 or 2 fps for 10bucks .. at 1500+ NOT EVEN 1

i put in an SSD of 120 gigs. i have it and it kicks ass

you can always add more storage afterwise

this pc can run every game you can think of at ultra settings at 1080p

my build is superiour due to the SSD and the expandabillity of the RAM

also that build is 736 bucks in the current exchange where mine is 660 bucks

my PSU is better and he didnt even buy an aftermarket cooler,where the hyper 212 evo kicks ass so yea,not even compareable

Ok here is my opinion.

This build is good but not balanced

You should remember this rule of thumb:

Your cpu should cost around 2/3 of your graphics card.

A 4790k is overkill for a 770
The mobo isnt from the z97 socket so the 4790k wouldnt even fit

A 1400$ machine has to include an ssd

Plus windows 7 keys are so easy to get (ebay/a google search)

16gigs of ram isnt nessecary for normal use and the 2133 speed is a waste of cash.

What i would do:

Cpu 8350 by amd
Same cooler
Mobo like i showed op
Gfx card or stay 770 or 290 by amd
Id get a SSD like i showed the op
Ram like i showed op
PSU 700-750 if you take the 290 card
Win7 from ebay
Disk reader...dunno for what but sure

Id get a 1tb disk and if you need more get another one

2 hard drives are faster than a bigger one .. 2 controllers double the speed
