What's the point of buying game disks these days?
When you can easily buy off a digital DRM like Steam and download it faster than you can install from disk? Not to mention by the time you install from disk, there are countless updates that probably are as big as the disk itself. I don't think there's really a point in physical game boxes these days.

I don't think most people buy DVDs anymore, Walmarts PC games section is like non-existant now. Some people probably want security incase steam goes down or something though, but DVDs wont last forever either.

There is no point... Haven't heard/seen anyone buying any disks anymore besides console gaming.

Because I'm too lazy to buy special sizes for my Gamecube, I'd rather spend the money on it. If you're talking about PC, I have no idea.

50 boxes of PC Games makes look like more of a gamer than a steam library of like 300 games. I just like the experience of going down to EB Games or JB Hifi and picking a game up. I only do it for collectors shit though, and only an master tier games like the Witcher series.

It feels good to have a physical copy, + not everyone has a 100 MB/s connection to download all the games in less than 3 hours
