    A bit extravagamt, psu is way overkill.

    Btw @Auroratic you have ddr3 memory listed despite the x99 platform using ddr4. I suggest you keep researching so you dont make silly mistakes.

    Thanks for poitning that out @Doc! Is DDR4 RAM Backwards compatible to DDR3? And is it more expensive then DDR3?

    It is not but ddr4 isnt that much more expensive and performance is roughly the same with poor cas latency being matched with high clock speeds.

    This thing will last you a long time as this is the most high tier stuff you can get at the moment, I would either go for 980's sli aswell or wait for the 980Ti if they do release one.
