i just want to know would this computer work and anything i else i should get?

It should work if you have a good motherboard. Bad Motherboard = Incompatible computer!

your mobo must have the same socket as your CPU else it wont fit/work.

the AMD A10-6800K is a FM2 socket part,you need a FM2 ONE

he should get a pentium anniversary edition with a fitting mobo and OC the crap out of it,then he should get a 270/270x - and once he has a bit more money he can upgrade to a 4690k
