I would go for a cyber girlfriend tell her shit, hot chat and gaming with her, not giving a fuck for other people telling shit behind our back I guess
I have recently watched a vice documentry about cyber girlfriends/boyfriends in asia, now my opinion on this is what the hell i wrong with people but then again it is quite different these days in asia keeping a steady relationship with a girl/guy since technologie has taken over.
I have recently moved to Thailand and i see a few old men on their DS and laptop on an app/game that simulates having a girlfriend. Now these men buy these games and then maintain a relationship with a few lines of coding and a few graphics on a screen, correct me if im wrong. Is this healthy for them and is it reasonable? What would you say about dating characters on an app?
A few side notes... Have the government or a business of high up people created this to decrease the population? Is this to save money instead of buying things for a real girlfriend/boyfriend?
I personaly think that this is wrong and obviously inhumane as practically turning yourself into a computer can't be good for your personal life with friends and family. The whole idea of dating a character on the screen that is programmed to chat and flirt with you just makes me think what have we turned into. How do you get satisfaction out of this?
If you have feeling for your 'cyber girl/boyfriend' then i feel really sorry for you.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this topic and whether it is right or wrong.

no sexual relations though..
that would be hard.
The whole point in being in a relationship is about being proud and not hiding anything i guess?

Honestly, I feel as if an online relationship can potentially create more problems than solve. An exception would be if you're talking everyday outside of a game or chatroom, like, face to face, or on Skype to say the least, and whereby both parties are intimately conversing and interested in each other's day, how they are, a simulation of an actual relationship without the flesh touching. Furthermore, this can create problems as you can be questioning the other party much more often about what they did and if they're seeing someone because if she took the chance to get with someone in real life, or he, he/she would probably take it if they looked at their options. Someone who's online and they can't touch or someone who can give them pleasure and affection.

Cyber girlfriends? No thanks.
There really is a certain level of communication you have to reach to be in a "relationship" with a SO.

I don't think it would matter how deep a relationship got with a cyber "girlfriend" real girls are 10x better.
NightOwl
of course its you posting this
anyways real>cyber
I think it's a cop-out.
Sure, it might work for some people, but it seems like a defeatist lifestyle. Kind of like anime kids and their "waifu" pillows. You can't handle, or get, a real relationship with a real person, so you instead date a computer program because it's different and "no one understands you".
"Cyber girlfriend" if anyone here actually does have a "Cyber Girlfriend" its extremely unhealthy
