I'm well aware of what photo manipulation is, and this is more towards it then anything else. But it is only a small part of it. I know that photo manipulation broadens out into illusions and deceptions.

I was supposed to say that it is more towards photo editing then anything else, but still has some photo manipulation traits to it. If you study into manipulation you will find that it is not only illusion and deception.
