Yeah you're probably at around silver elo/level at the moment. Silver is the home of autism, gold is a little better but still terrible. Best to play with friends with high(er) ranks.

In placements? In placements when you start winning, you will start facing better people. But if you mean once you get a rank, i don't think you. You can rank up easily the less wins you have but i don't think you skip ranks
