MPGH Tourneys and Game Nights: A PSA

If you're going to host one, for the love of God specify the region.
I'm sick of joining game nights and tourneys that are loaded with Europeans and having to play on shitty UK servers with 160 ping (as I'm US West).

Look at this bullshit.

This is not only ridiculous, but also unacceptable.
Not to mention that it was a 64 tick server.

After about 5 rounds of being shot behind walls by teleporting wizards, I basically just left.


If you're going to run a tourney or a game night, think about everyone involved, not just yourself.

And we had randoms join our game so there server set ups and ts lockdowns weren't even configured for the match.

Supposedly the ping was to compensate for the better players from the US, and to allow cross-continent play.

Still sorta bullshit either way.

The server region was specified as EU. Reason that it was EU is that all the highly ranked players were from the US and so the high ping brought the overall skill of the high ranked players down, creating equal teams.

All Event Staff will be given Admin control over the server.

And the thread after that didn't mention servers at all, just that the teams were formed with region in mind.
