Out of the four major religions you picked I would have to say that Hindus have "the most peace".
But Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are, for the most part shame- & fear-based religions. They have been... revised... over and over as a means of social and political control.
I could never have faith in a religion that does not have faith in me.
Hinduism is the only Eastern philosophy listed here, which strikes me as a bit odd.
Buddhism, Sikhism, Daoism (Taoism to us Westerners) are all very popular Eastern means of spiritual cultivation, & they agree on many points. Different schools exist, as with any philosophy.
The main difference between Western fear-based religion and Eastern philosophy is that Easterners teach that unity of mind-body-soul is already strongly present in each of us underneath all of the emotions&drama, craving for material items, and ego-games we experience in our day-to-day physical existence. Easterners teach that any spiritual answer can be found through meditation.
Another attractive difference is that almost every Eastern philosophy acknowledges that other religions' prophets (Jesus, Muhammed,.. is it Moses or Abraham?) are very high, enlightened beings; and they open their minds to their teachings.
When was the last time Tibet started a war? They don't even fight back when Communist-monarchy China invades again & again. If you ask me, Eastern spirituality is where it's at.
Oh --
I consider myself somewhere between Buddhist and Daoist, but I'll be the first to tell you that I don't know the answers and I have a LOT to learn.
Thank you xD
