This is the thread to share your favorite obscure music genre, whether it be a strange combination of genres, or simply an underground one.
No well-known genres, or derivatives that are too similar.
My choice would be Atmospheric Black Metal, standard black metal taken to its more ambient and musical extremes.
Epic, melodic, beautiful, and emotional.

You were seeking strength, justice, splendour.
You were seeking love.
Here is the pit, here is your pit.
Its name is Silence..
What would you define as obscure? Because sometimes a genre is obscure to one crowd, but might be the bee's knees in another.
Example:
Nobody here would listen to this
But, in the right crowd of old people, they'd be listening to shit like this all the time.
Sure, most people have heard OF Latin Jazz, but chances are the only song they've actually listened to is Spanish Flea by Herp Alpert (or some movie / game OST).
So to me, it's not just the obscurity of the genre itself, but also everyone's general knowledge of the genre as a whole.
Oh but also
Hoping for a repress of this album soon. They're repressing everything else.
