What in the hell has happened to my laptop?

So my laptop was working fine, I come back home, I find it shut down ( I left it on to download something ), anyways, I try to open it, and it gets stuck at the ( LENOVO ) Logo for far too long ( the one where you could click F2 for setup and F12 for device selection ), and a small, tiny beeping sound is heard, it stays like this for like 1 minute, and then it brings up a screen that says " no bootable device found ".. what is happening?

Fucking hell... there go all my downloads... the laptop is way past warranty, highly doubt Lenovo would do shit..

Not the hard drive the problem maybe the ram...try to re-setup again your pc...

If its your hard drive, just purchase a new one and get windows 7 pirated or copy or whatever and re-install it. Best to take it to someone who can run diagnostics on it to see what the problem is before you spend any money.

Take out your hd and replace it with a new one. Use an enclosure and see if you can get the old data off.

Try this:
Go to your BIOS and find booting priority (or something similar) change the first, second and third priority to something you think should work. Try inserting a Windows disc in your laptop and try booting off of your disc in the BIOS.

Some PC's don't make the annoying ass noise if the RAM is not in, like mine. Laptops bring up that message if the HD is fucked up as the same thing happened to me.

I second the HDD choice. I had this issue and the warranty replaced the HDD. It worked fine then.

Hard drive is fucked. Happened to me 9-10 months ago, i posted a question also it was a simple hard drive replacement.
