    [Empire's Requested reviews]

    So I thought I'd finally get around to making the review since, well, I kind of promised it.

    Anyway the series I'm reviewing in order(if you want to skip to w/e)
    Boku no Pico
    Bible Black
    Nobanagun
    Tokyo Ghoul
    Sakura Trick
    Bakemonogatari
    *(I'm reviewing more, but I'm going to reserve a post for that)

    I'm going to make all these reviews with the same format, and that is: Synopsis(by me), Story, Characters, Visual/Audio and Summary.

    ================================================== ==================================
    [Boku no Pico]
    (As per request from: Stickz)
    Synopsis: It's yaoi-shotacon hentai anime.

    Story: It's shit. H-Anime always have shit story. However one of the more questionable thing is that at the start the boy is dressed like a girl. I guess this was in order to trap people who were perfectly fine with an underage girl, but not with a boy.

    Characters: The characters exist merely to have sex with each other.

    Visual/Audio: Prettty shitty, but all H-anime have shit animation. For the time period it was produced in, it's eh....average.

    Final Rating: [4/10]

    Summary: It's not really that awful, especially given the genre/time period. To be honest I found myself questioning if the people reacting to Boku had ever seen another H-Anime before. Boku is probably one of the more tame H-anime and the fact that all the sex was consensual was a huge surprise for me.
    ================================================== ====================================

    [Bible Black]
    (As per request from: Mokou-Sama)

    Synopsis: People have blood rituals in order to have sex with each other. Satanist antics insue.

    Story: I'm not exactly sure what the story for BB was. It seems to be simple sex-sacrifice rituals and nothing more.

    Characters: This series actually has a lot of different characters. However they *all* have the same body type. All of them. While I think the author did a very good job of designing the body and It's kind of silly to realize that if you swapped out their hair they would all look the same. Also, very few actual plot points in the anime leave the characters to be incredibly shallow.

    Visual/Audio: Industry standard for the time period. While BB is decent, it is dated and you can tell where the animators just didn't care.

    Final Rating: [7/10]

    Summary: Back when this was released there was(and still is) an organization against porn for religious reasons. I don't know exactly why, but they never touched Bible Black. It seemed weird to me as this is the perfect target. It's god Satanic rituals. Blood sacrifices. Black magic. And Sex. Lots of sex. Eh, missed oppportunity to attack what is literally the "biggest name" in H-anime.
    ================================================== ===================================

    [Nobunagun]
    (As per request from: Kill the noise)
    Synopsis: Teenagers fight aliens with mech suits designed from the "spirit" of legendary people.(Nobunaga, Ghandi, Jack-the-Ripper, etc. etc.)

    Story:
    Holy fuck is this show stupid. Why in the fuck would you need to provide a mech-suit with the "spirit"(blood) from people in history? It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. The worse part is that the show takes itself completely serious. It makes up the stupidest scenario then adds an alien saying "yeah, it just had to work like this because reasons" and that's it. That's. Fucking. It. Why the fuck is this alien wearing retarded ass headgear? Reasons. Why not just make the mech suits and give them to the appropriate soldiers instead of *traveling through time stabbing Ghandi*? Reasons. God. fucking. dammit.
    (I hate shows like this because it's a wasted opportunity. Why can't we actually have Ghandi fighting? Why does it have to be "his spirit passed on to the kid"? Fucking lame).

    Characters: There are two characters in this anime, TWO:

    Nobunagun:The main girl who is X and the show tells you so by saying "SHE IS X" all the fucking time. She'd make a decent support character without the
    4th-wall breaking all the time

    Jack-the-Ripper:The main girl's love interest who acts somewhat like a psychopath, but is really just SOUL FROM FUCKING SOUL EATER
    (Goddamnit! They stole the character design!)

    Visual/Audio:
    It's below average. From very painstakingly done color-swaps, to the just lacking of solid animation in fight scenes, there is a constantly re-occuring thought that goes through the average watchers mind "How old is this show?" Not old enough, not nearly old enough to get away with this....

    Final Rating: [3/10]

    Summary: This show is a train-wreck. It's got an incoherant plot, really shallow characters, and doesn't want to enjoy itself. It's just....bad. It seemingly only used the "people from history" trope to get views. None of what they do is related to the actual history of those people.Also, nobunaga liked guns for what they represented, not because he had a gun fetish. How the anime got this wrong is just dumbfounding.
    ================================================== ======
    [Tokyo Ghoul]
    (As requested by: Not an Asian)

    Synopsis: It's a vampire show. X population has vampire-powers and are fighting the "government" who also has powers.

    Story:
    [Season 1]
    While the story starts off as very cliche vampire story. "I've been turned into a vampire and have trouble coping". Antics insue, yada yada, we get to the ending which is
    Kaneki being tortured. It's a decent season in it's own right but hardly original. Almost every mini-arc that happened has been repeated ad-naseum for years. "oh her parents were both vampires" "oh the government has to bring in psychopaths" "oh there is this one vampire who isn't normal". Again, it's still decently done, but there was potential to make this original which brings me to season 2...

    [Season 2]

    Season 2 is just weird. Instead of following the manga and providing some of the best parts of the series, it skips or changes them, but still decides to follow the main story....somehwat.One of theworse choices they could have made is to keep Kaneki from killing the brother and have him join the Dark side. In the manga Kaneki becomes independent for the sake of his his friends, he joins the guys who were torturing him after killing their leader(wut), and then proceeds to do random shit and somehow be in plot-important places because reasons. Not only does this happen, but a LOT of the big scenes are entirely distorted just for the sake of them not being the same it seems. The ending of season 2 is about as fun to watch as the ending to the Gantz anime. You just don't fucking care and it's intentionally unclear seemingly only because of laziness.
    >If you've only watched the anime you won't get the anime ending. It relies *heavily* on the manga-readers. This also goes for a LOT of the scenes in season 2.

    Characters: There are only about 3-4 characters with any depth or meaninful dialogue. Most of them become "battle enemies" and go below naruto-levels of character depth. That is to say, they are introduced and killed off without any chance or reason for the audience to care. There are reoccurring people, but most of them just don't matter. They say the equivalent of "die you scum" and get put in the next battle if they survived. This is pretty terrible once you realize that there isn't a "strategy" mechanic to the battle-system at all.

    +Kaneki: This guy is part shinji, part normal. He's put in a situation where he freaks the fuck out a lot, but by the end of the series(anime) he's facing his enemies outright. This is good, it's fine watching this character.....if he doesn't lose it. What happens is not that he "freaks out" in fear, but he just becomes a freak. He's not bloodthirsty, he's just insane. While this makes for cool fight-scenes, it hurts his character as it's not really addressed later. In fact, almost none of the freak-outs are addressed....

    +Touka: Ha, nice try. Touka started out as some "elite" but quickly became irrelevant by the end of the first season. Sadly they didn't build on this or expand her, so in the end she became a "sakura", that is, a character that started out being part of the group but grew to be the most irrelevant character the doesn't do anything for the rest of the anime.

    +Shuu: Crazy french guy. He's crazy, he likes food. He provides entertainment initially and is very warming to the series list of characters. But sadly his actual importance to the plot is very, very minimal.

    Visual/Audio: Tokyo Ghoul started off as a decent looking show. The abilities were done moderately well and were very colorful. That didn't last. I think about halfway through the season they cut the budget and boy was that a bad idea. The show by season 2 looks so awful it's amazing that they released it at all. For some bizarre reason they also had really bad camera shots, which is odd because budgeted animation doesn't restrict camera focus, but animation quality.
    -The audio was fine, standard anime soundtrack but nothing that stuck out. I'd give it points for the first opening but the second opening was so bad it cancels it out.

    [Final Verdict 6/10]

    Summary: Tokyo ghoul is a missed opportunity. Due to the style of the manga it could have been a very interesting anime to watch and it could have been very stylish. Sadly the studio that made it was simply counting on the hype it already had and not concerned with making a great anime. This is sad because if a better studio been assigned to it, Tokyo Ghoul could have been the next big thing. As it stands Tokyo Ghoul was poorly done. The main area of concern that fans had from reading the manga (the story) was made even worse as well, something that shouldn't have happened.

    ================================================== ======

    [Sakura Trick]

    (As requested by Hachikuji)

    Synopsis: A group of lesbians make-out in various places with almost no provocation needed.

    Story: It's a romantic-comedy ecchi anime. No story. There is some drama and I found it entertaining, but it's nothing great.

    Characters: The only thing worth noting is that there is two couples and 2 potential couples. I found it interesting that in a show with obvious lezzing there were two friends with enough tension I swore they were lesbian. Nope. There is also the older sister complex which I thought was funny. Not entirely original, but still well done.

    Audio/Visual: This show looks better than all the shows I listed before this one. Let that sink in. Still, it's got average animation/sound with nothing standing out.

    [Final Verdict: 6~9/10]

    Summary: If you are looking for a cute-ecchi show, you will enjoy. If you are looking for something else you will be dissapointed. Still, it's not terrible and it's uplifiting through and through. Something to watch while you are bored I'd say. This rating of 9 is for fans of the genre, 6 is realistic.

    ================================================== ================

    [Bakemonogatari]
    (As requested by Color)

    Synopsis: A vampire's interactions with other Oddities.

    Story: How do I explain this without overhyping it? Bakemonogatari introduces us to the monogatari world and half of the characters of the series. The anime takes about 3 episodes for each character, builds them up, and then moves on. Now that sounds kinda shitty until you realize that by episode 2 Senjougahara is a deeper character than 99% of anime characters. Now for the most part the arcs are pretty unique and different from each other while still remaining to be interesting overall. The only arc that is particularly weak is Sengoku Nadeko's arc, mainly because she isn't related to the rest of the season's arcs and isn't really relevant to all of the other characters. In my honest opinion this arc should have been put into Nisemonogatari's middle, as she is directly related to the sisters.(and it would have made that season less fanservice based if only for a small portion of the season). In the end the story and character interaction is very entertaining, BUT is of "rich" quality, so I wouldn't recommend binge watching it unless you know you can stand it.

    Characters: This is what separates bakemonogatari and the monogatari series from the rest of anime. The men from the boys.

    Araragi Koyomi: While he is the main character I think it's worth noting that he is only the main character as long as the story is focused on him. So when the interraction is focused on him, perverted and bizarre things happen. When he's gone, the perversion is gone. It's actually pretty funny how bakemongatari makes him the main character when his entire character in Bake is reactionary. I find Koyomi to be one of the more enjoyable characters in the series, mainly because he just interracts so well with Senjougahara and Kanbaru. His interractions with Hanekawa are good, but it's a lot deeper than you'd know if you go on, so it's hard to judge it JUST on bakemonogatari.

    Senjougahara Hitagi: The....kundere? Tsundere? She's amazing. By far the most popular character of Bakemonogatari and by far the most enjoyable to watch interracting with Koyomi. She's the best girl for sure in season 1.

    Hanekawa Tsubasa: Hanekawa kind of sucks. I really like her in all the other series because of how mature and mysterious she really is, but in this season I'm not a fan.
    Black Hanekawa: Definitely spiced up the show but not exactly deep. She gets the story going and provides the best animated scenes.

    Kanbaru Suruga: Kanbaru is always a strong character it seems. No matter which part of the monogatari series you come into, she's always shown as a lot stronger than half of the cast. It's odd in where you should place Kanbaru because of her arc making her a solid character and the arcs after making her more fanservice-ish until hanamonogatari where she becomes solid again. I enjoy Kanbaru not only because she is interesting but because she plays a certain role that no one else in the show can technically do: NOT BEING A POTENTIAL LOVE INTEREST.
    (yes, even Meme falls into this category).

    Oshino Meme: The (somewhat young) somewhat older man who's responsible for exorcism. We don't get to learn too much in bakemongoatari but to "spoil" some things, Meme is really important in the plot. There is a catchphrase he uses which I believe is translated to "Did something good happen?", which isn't as creepy here, but becomes incredibly creepy later and earlier in the series.

    Mayoi Hachikuji: Not really that much of a character outside of her arc. It's surprising as she is both "loli-bait" and a "Bro" as well. If anything her character is 10% fufilled in Bakemonogatari and is tremendously expanded upon later.

    Sengoku Nadeko: Hardly worth your attention. She's boring in an arc that is interesting. It's kind of hilariously ironic to watch her arc again and realize the huge amount of "spoilerific" stuff she does and says in this season that won't get expanded upon until later. Still boring, but there is that.....

    [Visual/Audio]
    To say SHAFT outdid themselves would be about the amount of praise worthy for Bakemonogatari. Even after what.... 6 years? This series looks better than 90% of the anime you will watch this season.

    Let me explain: This series has a different opening for EACH of it's arcs(5), some arcs(Cat) get two. These aren't your shitty tokyou ghoul openings either.

    They also(in the BD) heavily enhance scenes to the point where each one is pretty fucking detailed in the end. Different camera angles, scenery porn, even the small amount of action is well animated. Bakemonogatari is a visual bonanza and incredibly fun to watch.

    [Final Verdict: 8/10]

    Summary: While I enjoy Bakemongoatari, it is a "halfway" point in the series. It merely introduces a lot of these characters and it's not until later that this series really takes off. Still, the production value alone is ridiculous, and it's a pretty good watch

    As someone who's been around awhile, Boku no Pico is one of the "tamest" hentai out there.

    I'm more surprised no one cares about the brutal gore/rape or futanari scenes in other anime.

    No problemo. Honestly, I can't see an upside to the series. It's about even with Black Bullet.

    In fact...the two are almost identical.

    I just found one thing missing there: The soundtrack. MAYBE, just MAYBE I am the only one, but the music IMO really set the devil mood, the one that ALMOST made you do the ritual too! Or maybe I'm just messed up. Here is the song for other people to know:

    I liked this H show, even though i'm not fan of futa.

    -I've already reviewed Naruto to Death.
    -Attack on Titan I could do
    -Akame Ga Kill already done
    -Done SAO per episode and both seasons
    -One Piece wouldn't be any good, too generic of a summary if i'm not going to waste tens of hours making it good.

    I certainly liked it. I just really hated Root A's opening, it even looked like it wasn't trying.

    I think the soundtrack for Bible Black was pretty good but the problem was how they introduced it. Those Orchestra's aren't playing a lot of the time and although I thank the show for not putting on shitty porn music, since a lot of the show is just sex, the soundtrack was a little lacking in consistency.

    I think Bible Black is a classic as well. Although with the quality of H-Anime nowadays, it might as well be within the same league still.
    (I hate how some H-Authors put forth very good art, but their anime turns into absolute shit because the production values are so low.)

    BB is also one of the few anime that remained with "model" proportions. Most H-anime nowadays try to make everyone "realistic". Which is sometimes good and sometimes kind of shitty.
