Why are gaming chairs so expensive?

You think gaming chairs are expensive? Try proper corporate chairs, I use a Herman Miller Aeron at work and that's not even the most expensive HM chair. But fuck it's good for my back.

We have some of their chairs in our local medical office. I've always giggled about the massive waste of money.

They're expensive because they claim to have a science behind them, that they optimize gaming and allow you to sit for longer, more comfortably, thus they have a liberty to price the shit out of it.

Prices are determined by demand, if they realize we are willing to pay that much for a gaming chair then they will charge that much.

Buy a $50 office chair and in 6 months you'll see why gaming chairs are expensive.

They're good quality, the back frame won't break as easy from constant leaning back. Plus someone on MPGH said (and I'm stealing what they said because it was awesome and Idk the original author), if you're a gamer you spend most of your time in your computer chair or in your bed. Buy a good mattress and buy a good computer/desk/gaming chair. It's logical.
People will spend $800 on a phone but won't buy a decent chair?
