SO far I don't think any one is right...
1. Try re installing CF. If that fails to fix it follow below.
2. If you computer starts up then suddenly turns off (No screen, just goes to black) that is a DUST problem.
Dust in computers is a very common problem. It will cause unexpected shutdowns to black. Some may thing this is overheating, but they are incorrect. You computer WILL WARN YOU if it does, most of the time, it will beep at you.
To fix the problem:
1. Clean it out your self. Free and easy, if you know how to. Turn off your computer and unplug it (if in the case of a laptop, remove the battery). This will prevent MOST DAMAGE from the computer (of course not all of it). Open the case. There are screws at the back that need to be removed (unless the computer is brand new). WAIT!! Don't touch anything in the case yet. While you do anything inside a computer, make sure you ground your self. This can be done by touching the outside metal case it's self. Then vacuum the dust out of the case and any fans, don't forget the one on the back.
2. Take it to a shop so they can over charge you lots...
=D hope that gave some ideas!
actually he is perfectly describing overheating dude, i would give ur comp a nice clean and check ur fans
